Mary and Martha were elated to see Jesus when he arrived after Lazarus’s death. They believed Jesus could have saved Lazarus, had he come early but felt it was too late to do anything now. They were believers in that they believed Lazarus would rise up again on the last day. Jesus told them that He was that resurrection they looked forward to. That they should believe him now. Oh, how they tried so hard to believe culminating in this statement by Martha: “Lord, by this time he stinketh : for he hath been dead four days” – John 11:39. Jesus followed it up with the immortal statement:

Said I not unto thee, that, if thou wouldest believe , thou shouldest see the glory of God? – John 11:40

There it is, believe. The fact many do things is simply a result of their belief that they can do it. Seldom does it occur that a man does what he does not believe he can do. Should you need God’s help or approach Him in prayer, then you should believe He is able to do abundantly more than you can ask or think. Believe that He is, and He is a rewarder of them that diligently seek Him. That’s how you get results, through belief in God.

The reason your pastor can successfully pray for your healing, is because you believe him to be a man of God. Because of this belief, He is able to combine His faith with yours for results. The reason your doctor is able to be so effective in his/ her treatment of you is because you believe him/ her to be component. Drugs that won’t work on some, will work on others simply because they believe the drug will work. Curses that won’t affect some, will affect others because they believe they are cursed. Faith (Belief) is everything. That is why God said in John 14:1

Let not your heart be troubled : ye believe in God, believe also in me.
